Thank you to everyone who came along to the 2022 Christmas on the Lake event on Sunday 04 December.
We were so blessed with the weather - what a stunning day it was! We hope you enjoyed the event as much as we did bringing it to you.
The free children's ice blocks went down a treat on such a hot day, and we had to get a third BBQ in for the free sausages sizzle - lots of hungry tums!
There were face-painters and we had tattoos (not real ones!) for kids, not to mention three super-fun bouncy castles for children of different ages and stages.
It was so wonderful to see our community come together and celebrate and enjoy the day after a few years without this special event. So many smiling faces, children laughing and fun.
Thank you to our entertainers!
Thank you to the amazing Gina Keating (our MC) and her super-talented whanau who entertained us and kept everything running like clock work. Thank you also to the tiny tots at Little Wonders Pegasus for their wonderful song - they were all so brave getting up in front of so many people. The Local Vocals did a fantastic job in their first ever event - and didn't they look stunning all dressed up in their Christmas best.
We hope you enjoyed all of our entertainers efforts and had a little sing a long with them.
Thank you Santa!
We really loved having Santa, his special elf and driver who came out to share some Christmas cheer and a few sweet treats. As you will see in the photos - he is a bit of a superstar!
Thank you to our sponsors!
Special thank you to our sponsors once again - without them this event would not happen. Please make sure you support their businesses when you can.
Thank you to our volunteers!
We want to recognise the hard work our PRGI team and volunteers put into the event, it takes many, many hours of volunteer time to organise. Thank you to everyone who helped on the day - we couldn't do it without you!
Since the Christmas at the Lake event's inception, there have been committee members' partners and residents who quietly volunteer and help behind the scenes and turn up at every single event without fail, and commit the whole day to helping - we thank you all so much for this.
Support our work and your community
Help support events like this and the other work and activities the Pegasus Residents' Group Inc (PRGI), does for the community - such as running volunteers sessions to provide access to the community centre and community book cave and information, making submissions on consultations that impact Pegasus residents, Pegasus lake advocacy, running the Pegasus Community Watch Patrol, (and much more) - by becoming a member. Membership is just $15.00 per household per year. Click here to find out more or sign up. We appreciate your support.
Many hands make light work - we are also always looking for volunteers, whether it is volunteering on the PRGI committee, the Pegasus Community Watch Patrol or at the Pegasus Community Centre. Please put your hand up and donate some time.
