2023 Halloween Map & Tips

Updated: Oct 12

We are excited to share with you the Pegasus Residents Group Inc (PRGI) Halloween Map, which will guide you through the best trick-or-treating spots in our community. Before you download the map, we want to address some common questions and provide useful feedback to ensure a fun and safe Halloween for everyone!

When does trick-or-treating start?

Trick-or-treating typically starts around 5pm-ish. This is also when most people are home from work and can hand out candy/lollies or take their children out. There are some families with young children that go out earlier so they can take their littlies home for dinner afterwards.

Trick-or-Treating Tips

1. Admire Halloween decorations from a distance but please do not touch or tamper with them.

2. Encourage kids to say "Trick or Treat!" when they approach a door as is the tradition, and to always say "Thank you" after receiving treats, regardless of what they get.

3. Please encourage children to take only one or two treats from a bowl unless the homeowner indicates they can take more. This is so there is enough for everyone!

4. Stay on sidewalks and paths, avoiding walking through gardens or lawns.

5. It's best to skip houses that have lights off or signs indicating they are not participating in trick-or-treating.

6. Encourage children to wait patiently if there is a line at a door and to take turns with other trick-or-treaters.

7. Remind children to stick with their group or parents and not to wander off on their own.

8. Not all pets like the excitement of Halloween. Please be respectful and keep a safe distance from any animals you may encounter.

9. Remind children not to enter anyone's home unless they are with a trusted adult and it’s a familiar place.

10. Please hold onto any wrappers or trash and dispose of them properly by taking them home with you.

11. Encourage kids to be inclusive and kind to all other trick-or-treaters, regardless of their costumes or the speed at which they move.

Happy Halloween Everyone!
